On The Road

  • Always use zebra crossings or pedestrian crossings to cross the road.
  • Look left, right, and then left again before crossing the road.
  • Always walk on the sidewalk (footpath).
  • Never run or play near traffic or on the road.

  • Hold an adult’s hand while crossing the road.
  • Avoid distractions like playing with toys or using gadgets while walking.
  • Wait for your school bus to stop completely before getting on or off.
  • If someone gets hurt, remain calm and ask an adult for help.
  • Basic first aid includes cleaning small cuts with clean water and applying a bandage.
  • Call emergency services if the injury is serious (teach them how to call 112 or 911).
  • Wear bright-colored clothes or reflective gear, especially in low light, so drivers can see you.
  • Always stay alert and avoid wearing headphones or using phones near traffic.
  • Never accept rides or gifts from strangers.
  • Inform a trusted adult if someone behaves suspiciously.
  • Memorize your parents’ phone numbers and your home address in case of emergencies.
  • Know where to find help, such as police stations or first aid boxes in public places.
