How Do You See Things ?

Key Notes:
We Need Light to See Things
- We can see objects only when light shines on them and enters our eyes.
Sources of Light
- The Sun, bulbs, candles, and torches are sources of light.
- Some objects give their own light (like the Sun), while others reflect light.
How Light Helps Us See
- Light bounces off (reflects) from objects and enters our eyes.
- This is how we are able to see those objects.
Transparent, Translucent, and Opaque Objects
- Transparent: Light passes through (e.g., glass).
- Translucent: Light passes partially (e.g., frosted glass).
- Opaque: Light does not pass through (e.g., wood, wall).
Shadows
- Shadows are formed when an object blocks light.
- Shadows are always opposite to the direction of the light.
Eyes Help Us See
- Our eyes are special sense organs that help us see things around us.
- We must take care of our eyes and protect them from bright light or dust.
Use of Artificial Light
- At night or in dark places, we use electric lights, lamps, or torches to help us see.
🧠Fun Fact:
- We can’t see in the dark because there is no light to reflect off objects into our eyes!
