📚 Formatting Titles ✨

A title is the name of a book, story, poem, article, or any work. 📝
It tells us what the work is about.

Example:

  • Charlotte’s Web 🕸️
  • The Very Hungry Caterpillar 🐛

There are three main ways to format titles:


Use Capital Letters 🅰️

  • Capitalize all important words (nouns, pronouns, verbs, adjectives).
  • Do not capitalize small words like a, an, the, in, on, of.

Example:

  • The Lion and the Mouse 🦁🐭
  • Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone

Use Italics or Underline ✏️

  • Books, movies, and newspapersitalicize or underline
  • Italics example: Matilda
  • Underline example: Matilda

Use Quotation Marks “” 🗨️

  • Short works like poems, songs, and short stories → use quotation marks
  • Example:
    • “Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star” ⭐
    • “The Tale of Peter Rabbit” 🐇
