After several hours, we were finally getting close to Uncle Peter’s. My brother and I had spent most of the time complaining in the back seat. I think we were bored because there was nothing to look at but trees. I couldn’t wait to get out of that car!
This text is told from the point of view of Mrs Campbell, Catherine’s mother:
Howard County is a special place to me. I was delighted to see not much had changed since I was a kid. The country roads took us past beautiful mountains and creeks. The views took my breath away. And I was excited to get to see my brother, Peter.
