Select the members of a group
Key Notes :
What is a Group? |
A group is a collection of things that have something in common. It could be people, animals, colors, or even toys! We can make a group based on what they are like or what they do.
Examples:
- A group of students who like to read
- A group of dogs that are all brown
- A group of toys that are all cars
How to Select Members of a Group |
When we select members for a group, we need to think about what the group is for. Then, we choose the people or things that fit what we need!
Here are some steps:
- Know what the group is for: What do we want this group to do?
- Look for the right members: Who or what fits the purpose of the group?
- Choose the members: Pick the ones that are best for the group!
Members are selected based on common features.
Features can be:
- Color → e.g., all red fruits: apple, cherry, strawberry
- Shape → e.g., round vegetables: tomato, pumpkin
- Size → e.g., big animals: elephant, horse
- Type → e.g., farm animals: cow, goat, sheep
Examples:
- Group of colors: red, blue, green ✅
- Group of birds: sparrow, parrot, crow ✅
- Group of vehicles: car, bus, bike ✅
