  • When we have the same number of objects in several groups, we call them equal groups.

Addition for Equal Groups ➕

  • We can add the objects in each group to find the total.
  • Example: 3 + 3 + 3 = 9 🍎

Multiplication Shortcut ✖️

Instead of adding many times, we can multiply:

  • Number of groups × Number in each group = Total
  • Example: 3 groups × 3 apples = 9 apples 🍎
