| Steps to Add Two Numbers |
Step 1: Write the numbers one below the other.
Make sure to line up the ones, tens, and hundreds places.
Example:
- 245
- 132
Step 2: Start adding from the right (ones place).
Add the digits in the ones place. If the sum is 10 or more, write the ones digit and carry over the tens digit.
Step 3: Move to the tens place.
Add the digits in the tens place, including any number you carried over.
Step 4: Add the hundreds place.
Add the digits in the hundreds place, including any carry over.
